Home Based Business: Are You Being Garnished For Dinner?

by Victor Bauza

These days you here a great deal of hype in regards to a Home Based Business:

"Mom from Chicago makes $9,800- per month", "Get rich in 5 days; sign up for free, offer ends today HURRY!!!"

Ever heard these cliches before? Surprised? Or are you prey to such vague advertisements? A great deal of people often fall for scammers who provide wide options to start a home based business only to end up losing a huge chunk of money. In-spite of too many advertisements and precautions a majority of us fall prey and become seasoning for a well cooked dish. These people often promise us with quicker money and a job that really does not exist. Now what are the common home based business scams? Read on:

"Get quick rich scheme"- It is IMPOSSIBLE to earn $250 or $370 or whatever it is that they offer for a day. No such company would pay that much. Or have you ever wondered how it is possible for them to pay all those people who are queuing up to get paid that much? Not much chance of getting a reasonable answer here?

Fail to notice- "What product is actually being sold" in between the various promises proposed by them? Or "What kind of job it is that they want from you"? Is it just writing? If so what is it that you have to write about and what product will you be marketing for them? Such questions don't occur and people readily sign up without actually studying what the company is about and what the job offered really is.

Bewildered to see that certain flashy messages actually do not have a website of their own? Most of them take the reader to a web portal or a link that just describes a "Three Step Solution" to get started? Something fishy??? Don't you think so? Well off-course it is fishy. The web link does not provide information on what's being sold or it does not explain about the company. Think about that.

To get rid of all your doubts- RESEARCH everything. Do not leave a single loop hole. If you have left or plan to leave your permanent job to start a home business, you sure want to be sure you are entering the right door. Multi level marketing is definitely huge and promising- but wait up, you need to know that you are not falling into a trap and that their promise is true.

Don't be shy to ask questions. You have every right to. And if they are willing to answer even half of your questions, that means you are dealing with at least half-a-genuine person/company here. Have your list of questions prepared and demand to know the answers. You have every right too. Check if the company and the product is safe and registered, and has takers who vouch for them. If possible, speak to people who do or have done business with them. Activate your friends/foes circle. Someone's bound to know them.
