Cruising has been described as the best vacation value available. It's one of the fastest growing parts of the travel industry. Cruises cover all age groups, from the more mature to the very young; cruising has something for everyone.

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of cruises to choose from worldwide, with a dizzying array of cruise lines to provide them. You can cruise the freezing waters of Alaska or Norway, or the warm, balmy seas around the Caribbean, or the ever-changing ports of the Mediterranean. There's excitement, romance, adventure or relaxation for all.

When choosing your perfect cruise you should spend some time carefully matching the cruise line to your needs. Ask yourself if the cruise is catering to the right age group for you. Is it the right destination, the right time of year, etc, etc. In short, does every aspect of the cruise suit you right down to the soles of your shoes.

One important thing to remember about a cruise is that you will spend a lot of time on a ship, a relatively small area, with the same people for perhaps two weeks or more. While you can't know in advance who these people will be, it's important that they are likely to be the kind of people who will suit you. There's no sense in a teenager going on a cruise for retired people. Or a middle-aged couple going on a cruise for twenty-five year olds; make the cruise suit you!

The most important thing about any cruise is that you enjoy yourselves. Cruises are not the cheapest option for a vacation, so be sure that cruising is for you. With a little preparation your cruising vacation can be the best experience of your life. You will have great accommodation, fabulous meals, first-class entertainment, first-rate facilities and services - in short, the experience of a lifetime.
