The World Of Free Blog Images

by Benedict Norden

Blogging is a wonderful endeavor and can benefit a person in more ways you can imagine. However, one of the challenges a blogger often faces is how to produce images for his or her entries. There isn't always enough time to shoot photos for internet business and besides, the subjects you wish to take a picture of aren't always available. Luckily, there are free blog images you can use online. They can provide your entries the color and appeal that will make them more pleasurable to read. What's more, they also help with your search engine optimization (SEO) campaign.

There are a lot of photos online that can serve as fantastic blogging images. Most of them you can't even produce by yourself because you either have no time, no quality camera, or no perfect image to shoot. However, the only caveat to using some of these images is they may be protected by copyrights. When you mistakenly use them, you may find yourself in hot water.

One, you may have to experience an embarrassing encounter with the legal owners of the photos, who would likely ask you to take down what you have uploaded. Two, the owners may even end up suing you for your carelessness. Now, both scenarios are quite awful, right? You certainly wouldn't want to get into either.

Thankfully, the Internet is teeming with free blog images that everyone can use. All they require is an attribution to the owner and you're free from possible humiliation or lawsuit. These images fall under the Creative Commons (CC) licenses.

Creative Commons is an organization which enables people to share and use knowledge and creativity through free legal tools in SEO companies. They standardize the way of giving permission to the public in using and sharing creative works, depending on their conditions.

You must understand that CC licenses do not work as copyright alternatives. What they are, actually, is more of modifiers of the latter. They work alongside copyrights to change some of their terms according to what they deem better.

Now, let's move on to choosing the right image for your post.

There are a lot of bloggers who take much longer in searching for the right photo than creating an entry. This isn't surprising especially if there are tons of photos to choose from. Naturally, you would want to pick the best one. And there's no easier way to do this than by using the search box of the site you're getting an image from.

On the search box, you can type the title of your post, the keywords you may have used, or simply the topic of the entry. The site can already present images that are connected with them in one way or another. However, it is also ideal to be a little more creative when it comes to searching for a photo. For example, if your post is about starting something new, you can use photos that imply newness such as breaking of the dawn or blooming of a flower. They can be a great way to tickle the fancy and entice the mind too.

Since free blog images are open to public, you should utilize them for the betterment of your site. The cliché says a picture is worth a thousand words, and if they are indeed, then there's no reason why you shouldn't put a premium on using them in your blog.
