Internet Marketing Strategies for Sales

by Glen

When taking into account any Internet Marketing Campaign, you must focus on your idea and break it down into sections in order to get the best results with the smallest action. In this article we are going to look at things you need to take into consideration when selling products online, and some of the pitfalls you should try to avoid. All parts of an Internet Marketing campaign and without one the rest fall apart, so its important to place time and importance on many aspects of the resulting operation. First of all you have to find your market. Without saying niche markets work best for this type of thing but its also important to make sure that they are large enough to ensure you can achieved your desired earning goals but also easy enough to reach when marketing to them. To find your niche market it helps to use tools such as the WordTracker Keyword Suggestion Tool, looking for keywords with a high KEI and that may have interest to you, although dont accept bare minimum traffic potential. Once you have your market you should start lookin for a product / service that your market actually demands, otherwise you will be wasting your time. For e.g. if you decide you are going to market for the keyword 'home gym equipment' you really shouldnt be trying to sell hair styling products, if people are looking for equipment then offer it to them. Get your website perfect, dont start marketing until you are happy with your website, even if you are just putting it online half finished and dont think your marketing 'tests' will bring any visitors, its still important to have a site ready so that incase someone does come along you can still draw them in. Theres two ways you can go about selling your products, via a sales copy page (squeeze page) or try and set-up a reputable store, but for this example we are looking at the squeeze page option (how very Blackhat!). Your website should look professional and 'unspammy' but also try to keep the reader interested, this is done by some good sales copy. Sales copy is basically the text on the main page of your site which 'pitches' your products or services to the website visitors in order to entice them to make a sale. If you are admittedly not the greatest writer then it may pay to have a look at squeeze pages advertising other services / products that you may be interested in personally, then adapt the ways which they enticed you to their product for your own product to people who will visit your site. All is not lost if people dont buy something from your site, or even more can be gained with an opt-in email list. 'Lists' are seen as being very valuable these days so to have a list of people who are interested in your products / services will be helpful if you decide to offer new products or services in the same niche, so you know who you can market too.If you keep things automated, then people are less likely to want a refund, and its going to be a lot easier for your ot earn money. Have the opt-in list automatically add the email address to your database, and have the sales process automated with an instant email or sending of the product, or even just contact them to thank them for the payment so at least people know something is happening. Get more traffic by contact those who have opted in and try to build a little buzz about the site in order to get more people visiting, affiliate programs help if you want to share a piece of your earnings.
