The Six Million Dollar Man at tvdvdplanet
An American television series which was released on 1973 and ended on 1978 at ABC Network; The Six Million Dollar Man featured Lee Majors as the major character and who played the main title itself. Also, a spin off of the show was produced, entitled The Bionic Woman.
The tv show was very popular and was introduced many pop culture elements of the year 1970. It took many years before the show was made into film. Finally, in the mid of 1990, director Kevin Smith wrote a screenplay. Reports said that Chris Rock will be portraying the major role but on the latter part, plans were change and Jim Carrey was chosen.
The main characters of the show were as follows. Lee Majors, Richard Anderson, Martin Balsam, Alan Oppenheimer, Martin E. Brooks, Lindsay Wagner and Darren McGavin.
The story focuses on Colonel Steve Austin. As he was testing an aircraft, he crashes and got badly injured. He is an astronaut and test pilot. OSI, a covert government agency is willing to help him and pay for all the expenses for his prosthetics. He lost his both legs. eye and arm. The new prosthetics which is made of Bionics will make him faster, better and stronger. But in return OSI want him to become their cover agent.
