Meditation techniques are great for relaxation and eliminating stress in one’s life, and because of this, is absolutely necessary for people with busy lives. If your hectic schedule is making you neglect your health and well-being, you can counteract its negative effects through simple and easy meditation techniques.

Top Meditation Techniques for People with Busy Lives The following meditation techniques are especially suitable for people with busy lives as they’re simple and easy to follow and take only a short period of time. These practices can also be done in the privacy of your room or your office. A peaceful and quiet background is an advantage, but if your mind has the power to ignore all sorts of external distractions then you can do it anywhere you wish!

Visualization – If you want something to happen, try to illustrate a picture of it. Make it as vivid as possible. Take your time to craft the details of your future piece by piece. Focus on this picture and believe on it. Everyday, you’ll have to rebuild the picture again until it’s firmly imprinted on your mind. If you picture yourself free from stress at work then you’ll soon find out you already are!

Affirmation – Write around five to ten sentences that best describes what you wish to happen or meditate on. You can achieve better results if all sentences revolve around one particular subject. These sentences must be short, powerful, and complete in thought. It must not contain any negative words such as “no” “cannot” or “never”. Afterwards, say them slowly but with firm conviction. Savor the words as they roll out your mouth and say them like it’s already happened. What you say will soon come true.

House Sweeping – Positioning is important here so be sure to follow instructions to the letter. This meditation technique requires you to place your hands on your nape. Afterwards, move your hands up and over your head as if you’re literally collecting the thoughts roaming inside your brain. When you’ve collected everything, move your hands towards your forehead until skin touches skin. And then with one great sweeping move, let your hands throw all those thoughts away! The thoughts you have collected are negative and troublesome, and throwing them away had symbolically released you from its bondage. Do this for at least ten minutes and be attuned to your body. As you throw away useless thoughts, you’ll feel your mind, heart, and body lightening and feeling more and more at ease.

Yoga – Keep in mind that this last technique may not require too much time from you, but it will definitely require physical flexibility and stamina from you. Also, yoga is a process so these techniques are just the tip of the iceberg.

Begin with a cobra pose: lie on your belly then let all of your weight rest on your arms while you stretch your head backward as far as possible. Maintain this for several minutes before switching to the front corpse pose, which is for relaxation: lie down flat on your belly and let your arms serve as your pillow. Make your muscles tense and relax.

Start by taking at least ten minutes of your day and dedicate it to meditation. After a few months, you’re sure to notice vital changes in how you think, feel, and act. You can then increase the time you spend on meditation if you’re able to…and when your busy schedule allows for it!

Hope you can start benefing from meditation techniques soon!
