Single Parents Dating: Guide To Snagging That Second Date

by Andrea Carless

When you get to be dating again and seeing someone, you still need to prepare since there are still lots of junctures ahead for you: You get to experience the first date, then the first kiss and then hearing those sweet three words. These are all really sweet in a relationship but they are not the major milestones, there are much more than that.

If you find that you have overcome the first date pretty well; pray they feel the same way. If they do then it's time to schedule for a second date. To ensure that you get that spot here are some tips for a first date dating success- and get the upper hand in scoring a second date to boot.

1. Enjoy your date.

First dates can really be nerve-wrecking but it's up to you to make it fun. It's your choice. First dates can be fun too! By enjoying yourself while on your date, you can then ease the pressure and tension. You both can relax and just enjoy each other's company. This entails flirting, smiling, casual conversations, body language and eye contact. It's a date and not an interview and so avoid digging through all those personal matters. Don't ask too much about sensitive topics and things which people would normally not want to share with a stranger. Time will come for that. Remember, it's your first date so loosen up a little.

2. Just be yourself.

Be natural and be you on your first date. You should try and do your best. Put your best foot forward when it comes to it and don't even think of pretending. That't the worst thing that you could do and could even ruin any bond or potential that you have built. First impressions do matter so instead of forcing yourself to do things you don't want to, then do things that you are comfortable with. Also, when it comes to picking your clothes- dress up appropriately. Don't dress too sloppily or go for something too provocative.

3. Don't play with your date.

Be genuine with your intentions and actions when you are on your first date. Don't even think of playing your date. Karma comes back real bad. If you want to get a second date then make sure that you are honest on your intentions, on the date and knowing the person. If the idea of getting a second date with them might not as seem to be appealing then don't lead them on. Worse, don't leave them hanging on air. If you feel you don't click together then end it on your first date. If you feel that the person has a great potential to be a partner then share your ideas on a second date- and hope that they would agree with you. When you promise to call then do so. If you receive their mails then promptly respond to them. Be responsible with your actions and be courteous with your answers.

If you want to score a second date then make your first date memorable. Have fun, relax and just enjoy the date. Don't make them feel left out or too uncomfortable. Make sure that they too would have a great time. Remember though, at the end of the day, even if you score a second date or not- it's still a dating experience for you and not a waste of time.
