Stop Biting Nails Today!

by Bob Dylan

Hey.

After doing hours of research online, trying to find advice to send you so you can quit biting your nails this is some of the best info I found: " 1. Decide that you are going to stop. Pick a day and say that's it. No more biting

2. There are some bitter tasting liquids that can painted onto the nails. I don't know anyone who actually liked the taste, so this is going to slow you down and give your nails a little time to start growing.

3. The minute you wash your hands, re-apply the liquid mentioned above. This will also focus attention on your hands and the nails which should be visible by now.

4. Keep an emery board in every room and one in your backpack or purse. The minute you notice a snag, use the emery board and not your teeth.

5. Buy a few bottles of pretty polish and some hand cream. You are going to keep your nails polished and your hands soft. In a weeks time, you are going to notice a difference.

6. Once a biter, always a biter. I have stopped, but it only takes a snag for me to revert back to old habits." Source: about.com

Keep in mind, that this is a very big website giving this horrible advice! Why do I say its horrible, for one simple reason their all dealing with the effect and not the cause.

I even found one website that recommended wearing gloves all day for 21 days! Can you imagine showing up for work with gloves on for 21 days?

Their is a very simple reason your biting your nails. And that is because it meets some of your needs either consciously or unconsciously. All of the advice above does not even come close to helping you end this habit.

Don't take my word for it, go ahead and try it, and let me know your results. I'll tell you one thing, it did not work for me, so therefore I do not expect it to work for you.

What did work for me is changing what my mind associates to nail biting, and also deleting the triggers that caused me to start chomping my beautiful nails. You can read more about it here:

Let me know what you think.

I don't want you to think i'm rude because i put down all the advice thats out there, but most of it is crap, and is the same advice that has been given for the past 30 years. Its the 21st century for crying out loud. Their are new techniques and tools to help you quit this habit, a lot easier.
