Roman Reference, 36 Via del Corsowww.romanreference.com Recommended.studio apartment near Piazza del Popolo, Rome LocationThe studio was very central, near Piazza del Popolo, walking distance from everything, although we took the bus or subway (very close) when we were tired or wanted to move faster. The backyard needs a little work, which they are doing now. That will make having a meal (breakfast or dinner) on the tiny balcony more enjoyable. Although via del Corso is very busy and noisy, the apartment is located in the back, and the noise of the city does not reach it, so it was very quiet.Nearby AmenitiesPlenty of small supermarkets and restaurants (excellent, some were very good deals), 200-300 meters walking distance. The House/ApartmentNot historical. Fully renovated, possibly re-fit to accommodate small studios. The building was all apartments to the fourth floor, ours was on the second. We saw someone once in a week. Good secure doors.GardenNo pool. Very tiny balcony in the back, two people to sit and a small café table, that is it.Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThis a studio for two people, no more. Bearing that in mind, all furniture was excellent, fairly new. The place was spotless, I hope we left it in as good a state!Bedrooms/BathroomsVery comfortable, good size double bed. Flat mattress. The bathroom was in perfect order.KitchenWe cooked three full meals while we were there, and three small lunches, and all breakfasts. Although small, the place had all necessary utensils and appliances (small stove, small oven, full set of pots and pans). A very nice element: there were some basic foodstuffs - cooking oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, some bottled water (we used our own, but we would replace if we had to use what was in there).Problems or BonusesNo.Agency and Representatives (and price)Beginning of August, we paid 565 euros for a week. The agency person kept steady email contact prior to departure, instructions were very clear. The person who met us was very helpful, his English was more than sufficient.Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would do it again ... Depending on my budget, I would use the same agency, and perhaps take something a little larger if I could afford it.Things to do in this areaShopping on the via del Corso. And walking distance from all of Rome's historical places: Colosseo, Forum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna. Small restaurants all over in small side streets.
