Standing while meditating can be quite tiring while lying down can cause you to fall asleep if you’re already tired from a hard day’s work. Remember to have the correct posture whichever position you choose. Keep your chin up and back straight. Keep your body in an upright but relaxed straight.

Enjoy the silence. Let your consciousness take a rest while letting your unconscious state emerge. Relax. Breathe slowly and deeply. Make a concentrated effort to keep away all thoughts from your mind. You need a clean slate if you wish for meditate to work on helping you lose weight.

Now that you’re in a proper state of relaxation, it’s time to create the necessary images of the future. Start by picturing yourself in your mind. You must see yourself as someone beautiful inside and out, never mind the fats that you still have to lose. If you can smile even while looking at your mentally crafted reflection then proceed by imagining your body gradually but consistently losing weight until you’ve reached the optimal weight and your desired appearance.

After the visualizing process, it’s time to recreate reality with the power of words. Instead of using affirmations like “I will not eat a lot” use instead “I will eat less”. It has to be positive in order for it to come true.

Of course, just because you've mastered all meditation techniques for weightloss doesn’t mean you can completely forget about eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly. Meditation can give you speedier results, but it can’t make good things happen from nothing. You still have to work on losing weight, but meditation can lighten the burden on your shoulders.
