Raised with a level of expectation
We are all raised with a certain level of expectation. From the time we are children we feel like everyone always expects more out of us than we have to offer. Having high expectations is not always a bad thing.
Do you remember when you were in high school and everything was a competition? It always seemed like you were being compared to the person next to you. There always seemed to be a lot of pressure as a kid.
When we become older and mature into adults we begin to realize that we are an individual person with individual responsibilities. Once you realize that no one is going to pay your bills for you things begin to seem more clear. Life is not a competition with other people. Your only real competition is yourself.
Sometimes someone else has to make you aware of that fact. We need to stop being so hard on ourselves and find someone to tell us how good we are doing even when we can not see it for ourselves.
I was fortunate enough to meet a man named John Steven Corbin who could see the potential in me that i could not see in myself. John is a man that has experienced a great deal of adversity in his life and has continued to overcome all odds. If you are looking for someone to find your potential for you and guide you to the top of success mountain then John is the type of person you are looking for.
