Unforgettable Wedding Day Moments
Look back at your wedding planning, what will make your wedding unique and create those special moments? Every couple is different and will define different aspects of their day as a special moment, but there are definitely moments that are universally special. Make sure that your wedding is just as unforgettable.
Newlyweds frequently look back fondly on their first dance. Get swept away and lose yourselves in the music and each other. Can you think of ways of planning a first dance that you will never forget? It's smart to dance to your signature song to get familiar with it. After all, it will be hard to just enjoy the moment if you are stepping on each other's feet. Also, avoid the temptation to do one of those silly choreographed first dances. While they can be entertaining, they are not romantic because the focus is on getting a reaction from the crowd, not sharing a dance together. Impress your guests in other ways, but save the first dance just for yourselves.
The wedding morning is when many of the unscripted moments occur which you will always remember. Brides and grooms who planned a pre-wedding photo shots frequently say that time alone was incredibly memorable. For couples who do not do a first look, the moment when the bride first comes through the church doors is often very memorable. Let your wedding photographer know that you wish to capture that moment. Yours wouldn't be the only groom to shed a tear when he sees his bride for the first time.
So many memories that you will never forget take place with your bridal party or parents. Lots of brides share a pre-wedding toast with their bridesmaids, and it would be great to capture that time with a few photographs of the bride with her lovely ladies in their beautiful dresses and bridesmaid jewelry. The best times can come even earlier in the day, before everyone has gotten into their dresses and bridesmaid jewelry sets. Some of the most fun pictures from my wedding were taken at the hair salon when everyone was relaxed and laughing. Your mum and dad might wish to give you a special piece of wedding jewelry and a few special words before the wedding.
Wedding days tend to pass by in a whirlwind, which is why it is a wonderful idea to plan for a few minutes alone. Take a few minutes away from the reception to spend alone together just taking it all in. Couple often appreciate the special time alone together after the ceremony to the reception. After the excitement of the ceremony, it is usually the first opportunity the bride and groom have to be together without a crowd of people. Get another mode of transport that someone else will drive, so that you can enjoy the first moments as husband and wife. It is too hard to have that special time if one of the newlyweds has to focus on driving.
A fun exit is a terrific way to finish off your reception. Leaving their wedding to start their married life together is a joyous time. Really sit down and think, how the moment can be made special to you. Would it be swooshing off on cross country skis? If you are having a winter wedding, perhaps you would like to zoom off together on a snowmobile or glide away in a sleigh. Give some thought to how you would like to make your grand exit memorable.
