Teradata is a company develops and retails a Relational database Management. Where data given can manage store data and backup data, archive data and restore data.
Teradata is known as “Data warehouse Systems”. Where multiple tasks are gathering and analyze the data.
There are different missions include in Teradata DBA:
-> USER MANAGEMENT
-> OBJECT MANAGEMENT
-> SPACE MANAGEMENT
-> RESTORE MANAGEMENT
-> INDEX MANAGEMENT
-> DISK FILE SYSTEM
-> WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT
USER MANAGEMENT: User Management used to assign profiles it contains grant and revoke it provides removing rights to other users and roles ex: we can modify passwords and further information which can be rechanged etc…
OBJECT MANAGEMENT: It is used to create, modify, update and delete the data from the database.
SPACE MANAGEMENT: It is used to reallocate the database which manages entire information from the system. By using different techniques; we can manage space in the disk. Techniques like MULTI-VALUE Compression we can reduce the space in database.
RESTORE MANAGEMENT: Restoring Management is nothing but storing the information in database. By using “Teradata ARCMAIN”Utility.
INDEX MANAGEMENT: In DBA contains two types of indexes
i) Primary Index
ii) Secondary Index
Primary index contains unique key and database administrator itself defines primary index.Which distributes the data and access key.
Secondary index which allow’s foreign key operations database.
DISK FILE SYSTEM: Disk file system is used to store and retieve the data from database management system.
WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT: There are two types of query Management
i) Dynamic Query
ii) Database Query
Dynamic Query Manager which enables database administrator it classify query before execution of database.
Database query used to perform analysis.
