Why Do We Still Use Postcards
Let’s face it, not everybody can afford to have the luxuries of technology and the comforts of the digital world. Even with the onset of the Internet there are still those of us who does not use email, or even know how to get one. Not everybody has access to the Internet, mind you.
But we seem to have a predilection of maintaining contact with our loved ones and friends, though. So what to do if you don’t have the budget and you are not even tech savvy? Well, there’s a simple solution to your problem.
Postcards.
Yes, a postcard is, since time immemorial, one of the most effective methods to reach a loved one, a friend, an aging aunt, an ex-boyfriend, a member of your organization who happens to be a traditionalist, a hard-to-break client, and even a favorite customer. Your postcard printing pieces are simply great to have when you have that itch to create a connection with somebody.
For one, postcard printing projects are very easy to print and cost effective to produce- even if you want them in full living color.
Two, postcard printing can be done in a gang print run. Postcard printers usually put multiple postcard printing designs in one sheet of paper and run it though the press, thereby, saving you time and costs for each postcard job. Think about it – it would cost you much if you print, say, a poster design because you need a full sheet to do that. But with postcard printing, you only need one sheet of paper to put 12 or more postcard designs and then run it through the printing press. You just need to cut your postcards from the sheet after every print run.
Three, mailing is such a drag when you got bulky paper to send. But with postcards, they’re simply divine because mailing them is not so expensive. In fact, they’re dirt cheaper than a regular letter. A postcard mailed first class costs only less than 30 cents.
Four, there are many postcard printing companies, online or otherwise, vying for the opportunity to get your postcard printing job. That is why the price of getting your postcards printed can be had at such bargains, as long as you know how to shop for them.
And lastly, why do people still use postcards? Aside from the fact that they are just pretty to look at when posted on your refrigerator or inserted at the sides of your mirror, postcards give you the warmest feeling – print postcards remind you that somebody is thinking of you and cares enough to take the time out to send you their very best.
