Tired Of Home Work Programs that Charge A Fee?

You can find real work from home

by Richard A. Hartz

If you are an employer using home workers, your the biggest problem is determining how to pay them.

Many people working from home feel that they should be compensated on their level of effort in the form of a flat hourly fee. But the temptations of working from home are often overwhelming. The urge to watch TV, play video games, or catch up on chores is always beckoning. Certainly an employer doesn't want to finance a freelancer's videogame addiction. And, without being there, trying to calculate how many hours you really worked is impossible.

This dilemma often creates an impasse.

The reasonable solution is to pay the home worker on a commission only basis. Which is why most of the legitimate home based work scenario involve sales of some sort. This is also how MLM companies are able to charge fees for start-up kits, etc. They realize that people want to work from home so badly that they will often pay for chance to earn the money.

Working from home is challenging, even when you are really working! If you are not a self-driven and highly motivated person you are just wasting your time. You are better off finding daycare and going back into the job market.

Selling is tough. We've spent our early years trying to teach people how to sell. We finally gave up and found a much better use of our time, and theirs, and then our business really started to grow.

I digress…

If you really want to work from home be prepared to learn how to sell. There are lots of books and videos that teach the basics.

The world is your oyster when you know how to sell!

Once you learn how to sell working from home can be fun! Why? Because you can go to virtually any business in your neighborhood and tell them you are a commission sales rep. (This is someone who gets paid once the sale has been made). Almost any business will give you a chance. You might work with two non-competitive companies like a printer and a carpet company. These are good businesses with high margins. Try to find jobs that will pay you at least $50.00 to $100.00 per sale. This makes it easy to anticipate how much you will earn. You can set your own hours and even fire the client if things don't work out.

Here's the bottom line, if you want to work from home and be your own boss, and NOT pay any fees, learn to sell.
