Sympathy
Whenever your down or feeling blue,
You want to give up and don’t know what to do;
Look at all the beautiful things all around,
Listen to the birds that make a gracious sound,
For everyone goes through their trials,
For they will only last a while,
Look at the sun that shines so bright,
For look at the sparkly stars at night;
For look at all the happy and fun things in your life;
Never give up and get into strife,
For everyone goes through their not so cheerful days;
Try to be happy in each and everyday.
For everyone gets down and hurts so much,
For everyone gives up and looses their individual touch,
Don’t ever feel down and depressed,
Don’t ever let yourself fill with emptyiness,
For let yourself overcome such a bland blindness,
All it takes is a kiss of kindness,
Express and show others the love you feel;
The feeling inside you get is unreal,
Be kind to others just as they are to you,
Never give up and feel cold and blue,
For god loves everyone just they way they are,
All nations and all people afar!
About the Author
I wrote this poem about depression as this happens to everyone and some people it ponders with. Feeling depressed is a natrual feeling but dealing with it is another story. People mainly get depressed as they may have lost someone they loved, teased at school or have so much stress whether it be financial, relationship or the stress of children and cleaning. I hope this poem makes people see things from an other outlook and be grateful for what they are given and look at all the beautiful things we have in this world and cherrish every moment as if it was your last.
