Remember those nights you held me and I felt so warm,
You kept me from the darkness and everlasting storm;
We always held hands as you gently kissed my face,
You’re love for me was filled with grace;
Remember the way you’d always stare,
The way you held me and I stroked your hair;
I loved the way we’d hold each we loved each other so;
When I left, you didn’t want me to go.
All my happy memories are with you and always will be;
When I’m down it’s you I need;
Your hair is like the sun that shines so bright,
Your eyes are like the ocean light;
Your lips are soft sweets that I crave for so bad,
When I kiss you I feel so glad;
Your personality like the clouds above,
Your always filled with so much love;
I love the way you look into my eyes,
This is a temptation that I can’t deny.
I cherish our love we had forever,
Even though we are no longer together,
There is one word which will get our love through,
It’s the word “Sorry”
Now I’m saying it to you.
Please forgive me for whatever went wrong,
As our love was so meek and ever so strong,
For you mean much more than words can express;
Without you, I am filled with such emptiness...
About the Author
This is a poem I wrote when I found love and lost it. Couples that are in love don't know what they had until it's gone. I know of a lady whom had a fight with her lover and he died. She never forgave herself for what was not said before he died. I think love should be cherished and we should express our love and apologies more.
