How To Create A Better Life – Part 2
Creating a better life is not always easy. As a matter of fact, if it were easy, then everyone would have a great life. Just like everything else in life that is great, it takes hard work and effort. There may be times when you feel like you are by yourself and that you are the only one in the world who doesn’t want to settle for just a mediocre life. That’s why it is so important to surround yourself with people who have the same goals and desires that you have. A great example of this would be a person who smokes. If you are a smoker, or know someone who is, you know how hard it is to quit. But what makes it almost impossible to break this habit is if the smoker continues to spend all their time hanging around other people who smoke, especially if those other smokers have no desire to stop. If you are a smoker and want to quit, than you will have to make a decision to surround yourself with people who will support you and who have also stopped smoking in their life. Why do you need to surround yourself with people who have already stopped smoking instead of with people who are still smoking? The simple answer is because the person who has been able to stop smoking has the experience and knowledge to help you stop as well. But the person who is still smoking only has theory, and no matter how good it may be, they can’t show you the road to success or freedom.Likewise, to create a better life for yourself, surround yourself with people who have the life that you desire to have. You will have to jump in and be willing to learn and be coachable. They may say some things that you don’t understand and may not even believe or agree with. But remember, they are the ones with the life you are trying to model, and if what they are telling you worked for them, then it may just work for you as well.
