Used originally by sports and physical fitness people, pedometers are now becoming fast popular as an everyman exercise measurer and motivator. With the help of this you can also work it out for the benefit of desired weight loss. All you have to do is to maintain a food diary and calculate how many calories you have consumed and try to make ‘calories intake’ less than the number of calories exhausted. This way you will be able to lose some weight in quick time.
Few tips that might help you to use pedometer properly:
1. Always keep pedometer close to body and place it horizontal as well. 2. Two most common places where you can keep pedometer are above the knee or over the hip. 3. It is to be noted that by climbing on stairs, walking on slopes affects the accuracy. 4. Use this for a week to establish a baseline for the future data. 5. If your pedometer is programmed to convert steps into distance, always follow the instructions.
