Used Guitars For Sale: A Review of a Vintage 1953 Gibson SJ 200 Custom, Gibson Acoustic Guitar

For several years, I've enjoy a online career in used guitar sales. In that time, so may guitars have come and gone, that it's difficult to remember all of them. I've had every Fender, Gibson, Martin you could dream of, plus a score of other highly collectible vintage guitars and rare guitars that would make any guitar fan jelous. But this one is a true one of a kind.

The 1953 Gibson SJ 200 Custom - Gibson Acoustic Guitar

This guitar is awsome.I saw this guitar a year before I bought it and I fell in love with it from the start. It needed some repairs that the shop had done before I got to see it again. The luthiers from Oregon repaired two top cracks and several side cracks. They did an outstanding job and doesn't detract from the beauty of this fine guitar.

The guitar has and amazing sound and looks truly beautiful. The Jumbo Size body projects chrystal clear highs and beautiful lows as it should. I play a Vintage Gibson Country Western and this guitar projects slightly above the sound of that guitar. It is bold and in your face.

With a beautiful Spruce top and Maple Back, the sides are incredible and it also has the custom double pickguard from Gibson. This guitar has been play and you can tell because it does have a few finger wear marks on the back of the neck. Numerous nicks, dings and scratches but again, nothing you would not expect on a 60 year old guitar.

The case is really awesome to see. It has mellowed on the exterior to show there is something special inside. The Pink California Girl Plush lining is beautiful. All latches and hinges work perfectly and the original handle is present as well. This guitar is very rare by just being a 1953 J200 but with the custom double Pickguard, you will never see another like it. You will not be disappointed in this guitar outfit.

I now that's easy for me to say. I've been blessed enough to buy and sell used guitars for sale through the internet and individual dealers. In the past 10 years and I've had the opportunity to buy some very nice instruments. But it's still unique when you find a guitar that is such a pleasure to play as this Gibosn Acoustic Guitar. And the Pink California Girl case really made it a special find.
