In spite of our most persevering efforts to remain clean and protected from harmful bacteria and viruses, we remain vulnerable to their threats. Be it our living rooms, workplaces or workout places, these microorganisms pose a major threat to our health.

What is the way out?

Over a period of time, it has been established that prevention is the best form of protection. Being an essential part of our eco-system, bacteria, viruses, and fungi cannot be neutralized completely. As long as there is life, these organisms will continue to exist. But to minimize their potential to harm, our prime focus should be on the destruction of their natural habitats. Well, this call is obviously not about destroying all rivers and forests. Simply stated, our houses and other places of activity should be properly disinfected so that bacteria and their ilk do not have any place to hide and reside.

Prevention is protection

Get the best disinfectant spray to begin the exercise against these microorganisms. Get a Lysol disinfectant spray or a Microban disinfectant — these are trusted products and easily available in the market. The first step towards destroying the habitat of microorganisms can be taken by preventing the occurrence of damp spots. Be it a living room or a gymnasium, microorganisms thrive and breed at damp places. Washrooms and shoe racks are their favorite haunts…their 5 star facilities.

Do not keep wet clothes inside the room — air and dry them. Clean floors and crevices with a disinfectant sprays . If you are a regular at the gym, you are more vulnerable to microorganisms. Gyms are visited by a large number of people; their sweat on the equipment and the floor makes gyms an ideal breeding ground for microorganisms. Disinfection of gyms is a major challenge because of the continuous nature of activity at such places.

Apart from gym equipment and floors, the bathing areas and steam facilities at gyms are major breeding grounds for bacteria and fungi. Ask your gym owner to pay special attention to keep the gym disinfected and clean. There are special gym disinfectant sprays for such tough places. Take special care of yourself after a gym session. Take a bath in the gym if it is absolutely necessary, but if possible go home and take a bath. Clean your gym gear and dry them properly.

Mobile phones, remote control devices, wrists watches, door knobs, water bottles, computer keyboards are some other places which teem with harmful organism. Each of these articles and everything else that harbor microorganisms should be disinfected in a regular basis. Human health is of paramount importance; just by taking these simple steps, it can be guarded and kept healthy.
