Should you opt for custom pools?

Pool design and construction

by Cedric Smitts

In the real estate market, when you are putting up your property for sale, there has to be something “extra” in it that will attract the buyers towards it. No one wants to invest in an age old house if has got anything new to offer. So what can you do that will increase the value of your property. Simple get a pool made. Yes, you have read it right. There are many builders who are more than willing to make Custom Pools.

The best part is you can practically decide on the design of the pool. You can decide whether the pool will be square in shape, rectangular one or in a diamond shape. But before you go ahead and get it done, get the following factors checked:

• Sit in discussion with your architect. Show him the blue print of your house. Find out whether it is possible to get the pool constructed. Often it happens that we plan something and something different altogether happens. Moreover you need to find out whether it is a feasible plan. So find out all about this and much more from your architect. In case he suggests not going ahead with it, listen to him. He is a better judge at the end of the day.

• Take into account the materials required. Just going ahead with the plan is not a good thing to do. You have to take into account the materials required. Are you sure that you have found the apt one. Make sure that the material used goes with the rest of the house. Opting for Concrete Pools when the rest of the house has marble flooring is not a good idea. The pool will stick out like a sore thumb.

• The right service provider: when you are planning to get a pool constructed, make sure that you select the right construction company who will be able to do justice to the job at hand.

• Cost involved: getting In-Ground Pools is not an easy job. A lot of money is required. Are you willing to invest such a huge sum? When you have made plans to sell off your house, do you think that this extra cost is required? Will you be able to make a profit after selling your house? If the answer to all these questions leaves you wondering then don’t go ahead with the plan.

• Time frame required: be very clear about the total time for the entire work to get complete. You need to have a clear idea about the time frame required. This will help you decide whether it is a good thing to do. Until and unless the pool construction gets complete, you will not be able to sell off the house as well. So you need to prioritize from the beginning.

So what are you waiting for? Once you keep all these factors in mind, you will be better prepared to decide whether you wish to get pool constructed or not.
