Top 5 amenities which every hotel must have
Every Hotel wants that even a guest who enters in his hotel he or she must final their accommodation but that isn't possible. A recent survey by the Hotel Association of Rajasthan reveals than not even 50% of walk-in confirm their accommodation straight by entering in a hotel or resort. But the same association also provides some resources that can increase the walk-in occupancy rate dramatically.
Below I have shared some advices which hotels can, as even I have experimented, improve their walk-in occupancy rate.
1. A nice face at the Reception.
Though a human brain always has a higher value than human face but in Hospitality industry this true theory needs a physical cut. If you have smart, sharp reception staff than your occupancy rate can see an incline of 10%. As 1st impression is most of the time the final impression.
2. Free Wi-Fi.
Yes. In 2013 swimming pool, sound proof rooms declined to 5th to 6th in the list of top ten hotel amenities and today fast free Wi-Fi is the top most amenity which a hotel should provide. Do make sure that your restaurant, gym also has Wi-Fi connectivity.
3. In-house restaurant.
Though many hotels consider that by improving their room service they can keep their guests happy. No. Now a day’s guests tend to watch that whether a hotel has an in-house restaurant, what sort of cuisines are they serving etc. So even with 4-5 table space, start a restaurant in your hotel.
4. Swimming pool.
Well not all can open a swimming pool as one need space & even license. But if you have pool space in your hotel or resort and you haven't thought of staring a pool than you are losing business. Though swimming pool as an amenity has gone down from 2nd to 5th but still it’s always a offer a plus advantage over non-pool accommodation providers.
5. Twin bed.
Believe it or not many guests are seeking for rooms that are already set as twin bed. Though most hotels can transform their room to twin bed as per the customer request but still this is something which I have noticed that if you immediately present a twin bed on customer request your chances of conversion are higher.
Well these are the 5 advices which I used in my hotel (Hotel Malak Mahal in Jaipur) and I am sure that even you can benefit from them. So grab them and bring them to use.
