3 Ways To Escape

by Tamara Jacobs

Everyone needs a break every now and then. A break from work, from school, from family or friends, sometimes we even need a break from ourselves and our environments. So where do we go, what do we do?

The answer to that of course depends on what you're mind and body are telling you that they need. If you what you require is rest then perhaps a trip to India isn't the best idea, but if you require adventure, maybe it is. Here are a few escape possibilities:

From Work:

If you've been busting your buns for the past few months, it may well be time for you to get away and get some proper r&r. Weekends spent at home are great but there is nothing quite like taking a drive to the country and checking yourself into a spa for a couple of days. There you can sleep in fresh hotel sheets, you can take steams and saunas, go for massages and scrubs, take walks in the beautiful countryside and eat delicious, healthy food that's been prepared for you. Guaranteed you will come back to work on Monday feeling like a new person.

From School:

When the school year breaks for holiday it's always nice to be able to get on a plane and fly off somewhere new. You've been in class or stuck in the library for the past few months and now is your chance to go out and learn a bit from the school of life. Maybe book a trip to a place you've been learning about, it's always great to experience in real life what you've only ever read about in text books.

From Ourselves:

If you're looking to 'get out of your own head' it's always recommended to escape into nature. There is something about connecting with the natural world that puts everything into perspective. It's like we are reminded of how small and inconsequential we are - but in a good way. In the way where we can stop sweating the small stuff and remember to just enjoy life for all it's worth. A hot air balloon ride might be the perfect way to escape yourself. All you have to do is sign up, show up and float into the sky in a basket, with all the world beneath you. Being up in the clouds should clear your head and open up your mind.

When your mind and body tell you they need a break, be a nice person, and give it to them.
