If you are going to be doing the Mark Wahlberg workout, it is of course going to be beneficial for you to take your exercise program seriously. However, it is never going to be a good idea to go overboard with your training. This workout includes a lot of bodybuilding, and when you are doing this sort of workout it can sometimes be a little too easy to go overboard with your lifting.

Most people who have worked out on a regular basis have experienced this at one time or another. Unfortunately, training too hard can actually lead to serious injury and even muscle loss. Generally, the people who train too hard are the ones who are under the impression that the fastest way to gain muscle is through the workouts that are extremely intense.

Intense workouts are not what is going to get you muscle mass. Consistency is what matters the most. If you lift more than you should, you are basically wasting your time. This is because bodybuilding works progressively. When it comes to doing something like the Mark Wahlberg workout, you have to find a good balance between how much you work out and how intense your workouts are.

If your workouts are too intense or too long your nervous system can be damaged. As a matter of fact, the way you work out directly affects both your parasympathetic and your sympathetic nervous system. If you train too hard it can also have an effect on your hormones. There have been a tremendous amount of research studies that have proven that your hormonal response and the chemicals in your body are affected by the way that you exercise. Muscle growth is directly related to your hormones, so it is not a good thing to get them out of balance.

It has been shown that you will decrease your levels of testosterone by lifting weights excessively. You will also reduce your levels of thyroxin. Additionally, your cortisol levels will be increased. This is not good at all, because when you combine the decrease in testosterone with the increase in cortisol what you get is the high risk of permanent loss of muscle tissue.

You can also mess with your immune system by working out too hard. This may be the worst part of over training. You will not be as able to defend yourself against bacteria and viruses. Think about how ineffective your workouts will be if you are trying to exercise when you are sick.

Finally, going overboard with your training can cause your muscles to tear and your glycogen levels to drastically decline. This means that your muscle contractions are going to be weak and ineffective. Plus, you are going to start getting some major muscle cramps due to the excess in lactic acid.

It's great to be serious about your workouts, but you also have to be responsible too. If you go overboard with the Mark Wahlberg workout, it's going to do you more harm than anything else.
