New Homes Development in Headcorn Launched By Ward Homes

by Keith Osborne

Housebuilder Ward Homes is embarking on a number of schemes of new homes for sale in Kent this year. The company officially launched one of them last weekend, with Councillor Tim Thomas cutting the ribbon at Locks Meadow in Headcorn. Cllr Thomas is the Chairman of Headcorn Parish Council, who welcomes the scheme of 44 homes in the popular village.

Having opened the new show home at the site, he said: "I was very pleased to be able to open the new development for Ward Homes. The Locks Meadow development will be an attractive addition to the village and offers a good selection of house types."

The mix of apartments and houses on offer at Locks Meadow will certainly maintain the diversity of the community of the village, located around ten miles west of Ashford. Whether you're an existing homeowner or a prospective one, you'll find a property to suit you at Locks Meadow.

The two-bedroom apartments make an excellent starter home for young professionals who may also be making use of Headcorn's excellent transport links: there are direct commuter routes into Charing Cross, Cannon Street, London Bridge and Waterloo East and Ashford International is just two stops in the other direction - ideal for high-speed routes to St Pancras, the Olympic site at Stratford and numerous Continental destinations; the M20 is just twenty minutes' drive from your front door. Prices start at £189,995 for these properties.

The three- and four-bedroom houses come in a variety of traditional brick and weather-boarded styles and would make a great choice for the growing family. The village has its own primary school and there is a selection of good state and independent schools at all levels in the surrounding area. Ashford and Maidstone, eight miles north, provide ample choice for all but the most fervent shopper as well as an array of leisure and entertainment options. The delightful Kent countryside in which Headcorn is set comes free of charge! Three-bedroom homes start at £268,995 and four-bedroom properties are priced from £315,995.

All the homes have a top-quality interior specification, with spacious rooms and luxury fitted kitchens and bathrooms. Apartments have allocated parking spaces and the houses each have a garage. Ward Homes is part of the Barratt Group, and all their new homes are backed by a five-year fixtures and fittings warranty over and above the standard ten-year new homes guarantee provided by the NHBC.
