Are you harnessing the POWER of daydreaming by Wayne Hatfield
Most of us have probably been told that daydreaming is BAD for us. Can that be true? Does it make you loose focus and have no goals in life? That's what I was told.
But is it true? Could something that has been drilled into your head for being BAD for you, be really such a BAD thing, if used CORRECTLY? Are you willing to look at things anew and realize that although it may seem weird, that it could be an invaluable tool to your home business? Have you ever looked at it in the right way?
See if this makes sense to you.......
We all look for ways to stay motivated and keep on track. Daydreaming can help "well" . . . The dream come TRUE, for some very simple reasons. What has been pounded into our heads as harmful can in fact, be very GOOD for all of us!
Daydreaming helps you focus on your future!
Simply put. It's a daily reminder of what you would like life to be like in the future. Let me explain. Lets say you're at work doing a boring, repetitive task that requires little conscious thought. Slowly you start to day-dream about what life will be like when you achieve your home business goals. Maybe you see yourself wealthy and successful.
You're at your job but your mind is a thousand MILES away! Soon your daydream becomes so intense, that you can feel all FIVE of your senses registering it. You see the kids on the swing playing. You can almost feel the cool eveningsummer air and smell the mouth-watering aroma of the family BBQ. You smell the sweet sent in the air after a summer rain. It seems real, doesn't it?
You hear the kids and family in the background, laughing without a care in the world. You can see yourself laughing! You call the family to come and eat and you can practically taste those baby-back ribs in your mouth. ( All smothered in A-1 sauce. )
You left the present to visualize the future!
In your "head" you leave your current situation, which is getting up and going to work. You leave your family and friends behind. You join the morning road RAGE hour, then something happens. At work, a co-worker or that HOT headed boss, interrupts your daydream and you lose it. In an instant, the laughing, care-free kids and the BBQ sauce soaked BB ribs are gone. You're flung back into your current situation. barely surviving life.
At this moment, a few things happen that in the end, "can" make those dreams a real life REALITY for you. At "that" moment you're ONCE again, reminded of what you're trying to achieve in your life, which is usually freedom from the hecklers and downers at work. I'm sure you also want to get away from the commute - the road rage hour.
Next, you're RIPPED away from where your mind was parked to where your body now sits. This creates a driving URGE to get back to where your mind was. The daydream becomes important to you again! Not only does this mean in the short term you may day dream again, you'll also have a real urge to make it a reality! You have one simple reason. You desire to be in that state of mind, all the time. In other words, you'll make that daydream reality! No more being SNAPPED out of it at any moment. And hey . . . reality is far better than daydreaming!.
Once you remember to do this daily then not only will this remind you of what you want but it will also give you a new fresh surge of drive to make things happen! In the end, you may find your self working harder to reach your goals then you ever could have imagined.
The best way to do this is to simply let go of all the thoughts rushing a million miles per hour in your head. Learn to relax. Even if you're on your feet, practice relaxation. Once you stop worrying so much and realize that how beautiful the big puffy clouds in the distance are against the deep blue sky, you'll daydream with ease.
At this point, you're ready to daydream and with all the distracting thoughts out of your head, the daydream can become almost REAL. It can and will then motivate you to visualize your desires, needs and wants!
I do this almost everyday to remind myself to focus on what I'm trying to achieve in life. This gives me a RUSH of motivation everyday. If you do this everyday you may be surprised as to how fast things start to pick up for you. too. Unleash the "power" of daydreaming in your life and give yourself the power of visualization!
