Are you positioning yourself as an expert to your insurance clients?
How you market your business is the most important aspect of how much money you are going to make.

Database Marketing:
Why am I starting with database marketing? The reason is, your database, your companies database, even your established friends database is going to be the fastest, most effective way to generate some instant business and allow you to develop the money needed to expand into different types of marketing systems.
The interesting thing about database marketing is most people simply do not do it. Shame on them. The database is a proven list of people that have already expressed an interest in your product, bought your product, know - like - and hopefully trust your company because you did a great job for them.
So how do you monetize that database?
You monetize that database by putting together a simple newsletter related to the type of products or services the people have previously purchased. Does your company offer a free giveaway? Some insurance companies offer a free prescription saver card or discount card. Why not take the time to market a free card to that list and find people who raise their hands to have you send it to them. Imagine for a minute having a database of 1,000 names. If you got just 5% of those people to take a free item from you, wouldn't you now have 50 people to go see?
Maybe you are new, maybe you are an old veteran, but with 50 names, couldn't you find just one additional product that could help complete that customers buying experience?
Once you begin to develop that database you will find that it can lead to new sales, referral opportunities, and people calling you because of the valuable information you send them on a monthly basis. When you position yourself as the caring expert, people look to you for the answers.
