People tend to rush into buying things once they learn that it is the latest and hottest trend. They go after what’s IN and what’s HOT even though they are not very familiar on what the product or service is. Same goes with televisions. We may have heard of LCD TVs or LED TVs being the coolest visual trend nowadays.

Before we decide on what kind of television to purchase, you must do a little research on what their features and benefits are, their technical details and lifespan. You may also compare prices between competing brands and also try to scour the Internet for the lowest price with the highest quality.

Two of the most talked about kinds of TVs right now are LCD TVs and LED TVs.

LCD or Liquid Crystal Display televisions are television sets that use LCD technology to produce images. It is by far the most widely produced and sold television technology today. One of the major features that people want is the lifespan. LCD TVs can last for up to 30 years. Even though you might spend more when buying this kind of TV, you are assured that for almost 30 years, your TV could still be just working fine.

LED TVs are LCD TVs that's backlit with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) instead of standard cold-cathode fluorescent lights (or CCFLs). Through these LED backlights, it could deliver more vibrant picture quality and are considerably less power use than those LCD TVs. Since these kinds of TV are often in slim models, you can actually place it even on your wall.
