Watch Out For Scam Web Promotions
It is a big world out there on the World Wide Web and for every legitimate opportunity you run across, there are plenty of scams and bogus promotions to go along with it. If you are just starting out looking for a money-making business or opportunity on the Internet, don't jump into anything without checking it out first.
How Do You Tell What Is Good Or Not
First off is how did you come across a certain money making plan or business opportunity? Did you find it through a search engine or did you answer an email promoting the opportunity. Anytime you find a business opportunity that looks or sounds good to you, go research the plan.
By searching on the Internet you can find out what people are saying about this particular product or business and armed with that information you can now make a proper decision if it is something that you want to get involved with.
MLM And Recruiting Plans
Point blank, unless you are an Internet guru and a super sale person, stay away from these types of promotions. They are designed for you to spend your money, not made for you to make very much. Most recruiting type plans are based upon just getting people to sign up for a fee, then get other people to sign up and it goes on and on. No products what so ever, just trying to get people to sign up.
These programs are illegal and usually only lasts for a very short time, making the creator of them big bucks. They then disappear and come back a couple of months later with a new plan and repeat the same process.
Multi level marketing works in much the same way except there are products involved. You buy the product then have to recruit others to buy the product, either a one time sale or a monthly sale and you try and build a down line.
The problem with these types of programs is that most people do not know or have the resources to market them correctly and give up after a couple of months of trying to advertise the program but get very few results.
How They Really Work
The originators of these types programs buy a multi - level script, load it on a hosting service and what they do is create duplicate web sites (we call these cookie cutter sites) and for your money they give you the site to promote.
A lot of times they will get you to pay a small monthly fee to host your web site for you and the only one making any real money is the one that is hosting the program. Also if you are not careful or paying attention they will also hijack your affiliate ID so that when you are promoting the program, the sales are going to them.
Again these programs come and go, keep getting shut down or just keep moving around with a different name but same type of program.
You are better off to try and start your own web site or work for someone else and learn the ropes.
