Are You Internet Marketing Material?

by Denise Washington

There are thousands of income producing opportunities on the Internet. With that comes millions of people hoping to cash in on the bonanza. It can be done with the right attitude. Therein lies the problem. People sign up for these opportunities hoping to strike it rich. It can be done. But the average person does not possess the right attitude to make it. It takes hard work and persistence. It takes having a millionaire's attitude.

The average person lacks that quality. It's not their fault. It comes from years of brainwashing. We're taught at an early age to get a good education to get a decent paying job. We're taught at an early age that in order to become "successful", we need to get good grades to get a good job to make someone else rich. That someone else is your employer. Or the stockholders of the company you work for. Unless your parents owned their own company, you probably missed out on that concept.

Well, now you're an adult and it's not too late to change your attitude. You can be one of the thousands of successful Internet Marketers. But as stated before, there are some qualities you will need to acquire; Persistence and Focus.

Find your niche and focus on it. Think about what makes you unique, outstanding. What do you do best? Are you good at talking to people? Are you a natural leader? Can you convince people that you know what's best for them? Are you a writer? A great programmer? What ever it is, focus, then determine how can you market that skill. Even if you decide to become an affiliate, meaning you will market a product or service for another company, what skills do you have to becoming a success?

Be perisistent. The majority of people start an Internet business, only to abandon it within the first month. Why? Wrong attitude. They fell for the outrageous notion that they could make a fortune doing absolutely nothing. When that fortune fails to materialize, they jump on another bandwagon. They lack the discipline, focus & persistence to being successful. It takes hard work to run a business. That is exactly what you have. A business. Do you think Howard Hughes or Henry Ford made their fortune doing nothing? Of course not. They worked hard, they were persistent, they had focus. Just because your business is Internet based doesn't mean you need to work less. If anything, you'll need to work harder because there is no brick and mortar building people see driving by.

And that takes us to advertising. You must be consistent, focused and persistent. Again, those two words. See the importance. The large corporations advertise consistently. They are focused on their product. You are bombarded with television, radio and newspaper ads about those products continuously. And you buy them, either out of habit or to try something new. The main thing is you made the purchase. Name recognition compels you to buy. That's why you need to advertise.

New Internet marketers think just because they have that brand new website, people will flock to it. That only happens in the movies with baseball. You must advertise, advertise and advertise more. You MUST get name recognition to get customers. Think of Chrysler, Microsoft, Dell and others. Think of why you made the purchases you did. See what I mean?

In closing, unless you have the right attitude, don't do it. You'll only waste your time and money. And to be successful online, you'll also need those. You'll need the money to advertise, (if you do it right, it doesn't take much), and you'll need the time. But that's another article. Good luck to you and may you find the right attitude to become successful.
