Stock Investing and Online Trading
Different Types of Stock Plays
There are many different ways to trade stocks online. Different kinds of traders look for different set ups and ways to make money from online investing. Here are a couple of the possible ways to analyze, assess and prosper from stock trading
Bounce Play
What defines this play:
These types of plays have shown support at this level previously in a double or triple bottom setup. There is a significant moving average supporting a reversal. There is a supportive trend-line supporting the current stock price. Resistant selling has ceased and buying has begun to show in scarce large blocks. Candlestick charting presents several instances where reversal may be imminent.
Breakout Play
What defines this play:
Breakout stocks are supported by fundamental causes for the run. Recent highs have been broken and surpassed by price strength and new highs. Volume continue to increase slowly and steadily as buyers and sellers cycle in and out. Investors have replaced traders, and intraday volatility is reduced. Charting Moving Averages and Indicators Help (rather then hinder) price movement.
Channelling Stock
What defines this play:
An irrefutable and identifiable trend over significant time period and cycle. The change in volume in terms or direction and strength. The market must confirm reversal by rejecting a significant price move (demonstrated on the chart) Significant moving averages are converging/diverging dependent upon whether the stock is at the top or bottom of the channel. Stock showing fundamental consistency with no inconsistencies possibly to be reported (Revenue Statements or Financial Reports)
News Play
Surely and simply, news can affect price movement in many ways. Look for news to identify or make aware of a short term trend or move. Learn to trade with it, and/or against it. Be aware that news rarely indicates or dictates price movement over a long period of time. A true fundamental restructuring or new management news, however, may take the stock in a new direction or channel. Watch a couple of news plays before you physically and financially jump in for the ride.
