As the cost for a post-secondary education skyrockets and the time it takes to get a university degree seems to keep extending, it is almost no longer cost effective to go to university - that is unless you can get tons of scholarships and grants. Many of these funds are well known, but by being a little creative and doing a little research, students can find some unusual university scholarships and grants to help them improve their lives through higher education.
Some students chose to go through the process of getting students loans. It is easy to see why: there are no essays to write and the amount of money given is sometimes the equivalent to a year's salary for some. Often loans give graduates a six month reprieve before payments are due. This was fine a decade ago.
