Premature Ejaculation and its Cures
Premature Ejaculation
Today, men face many sexual obstacles and problems. The most common of all these issues is premature ejaculation. Otherwise known as rapid ejaculation, the Latin term ejaculation praecox, premature climax, or early ejaculation, premature ejaculation simply means that a man reaches orgasm too quickly to enjoy sex. A premature ejaculator has no control over his orgasm. According to Masters and Johnson, a man has a premature ejaculation problem if he ejaculates before his partner 50% of the time or more.
Other researchers have defined premature ejaculation differently. They label premature ejaculation as a problem where a man reaches orgasm within two minutes of initiating sexual contact in more than half of all sexual encounters. The now-famous sex researcher Dr. Alfred Kinsey discovered that more than three quarters of men suffer from premature ejaculation. Today, sex therapists observe that men who experience premature ejaculation have less overall satisfaction and difficulty in relationships, leading to a loss in quality of life.
For years, premature ejaculation was thought to be a psychological problem, but modern research proves otherwise. Experts now think that premature ejaculation is a biological issue related to the body’s mechanical function. Premature ejaculation often factors in with erectile dysfunction and other health problems. However, there are solutions to premature ejaculation available everywhere.
Difficulty with premature ejaculation is related to sensitivity in the penis. Some men react more to stimulation then others, reaching orgasm more quickly. These men would benefit from creams that reduce the penis’ sensitivity, delaying orgasm and making sex more satisfying for both partners. Another technique is to use one or more condoms to dull feeling in the penis. Of course, these techniques reduce the feeling associated with sex, which is less desirable.
Fortunately, there are ways to treat premature ejaculation without reducing the penis’ sensitivity. “The squeeze technique,” as it is commonly called, involves halting stimulation by applying pressure on the frenuum (the skin at the tip and right under the head of the penis) immediately before orgasm, stifling ejaculation. You simply squeeze the penis until the need to ejaculate passes, and continue to have sex, repeating the process as often as necessary.
Or you can use what is commonly called “the stop technique.” This involves stopping sex entirely and waiting for the desire to ejaculate to abate. The stop technique is different from the squeeze technique in that no pressure is applied to the body. You simply take a moment and allow the feeling of being close to orgasm subside. Then, you can repeat the process.
These types of techniques can be effective, but they involve halting sex, which can reduce your and your partner’s pleasure. A different, even more effective method which doesn’t necessitate stopping sex is the use of special exercises to control orgasm. Orgasm and urination are regulated by pubococcygeus muscle, which men commonly ignore. By learning to master this muscle, you can effectively block orgasm without stopping sex!
