The Real Truth About MLM

by Annie Guanche

Everybody gets curious about making money online at some point. Sadly, the easiest option for most people looks to be MLM, so they join, promptly learn that there's a lot of hard work involved, end up making no money at all, and then decide earning money online must be impossible. MLM, or Multi-Level Marketing, is all about trying to recruit new people to promote the same things you are in order for you to try and earn a bit of commission from their hard work. This type of business model is inherently flawed, yet the slick advertising for MLM makes people believe it's the best opportunity available. Before you fall for the lure of a scheme such as this, think about the following points.

Many people have been told that the business model for MLM is one of the best out there, a definite moneymaker that has no equal. This is absolutely wrong. People that try to do MLM usually fail - only 1% or less of the population has ever made any money at it. On the upside, if you were to start an Internet business, selling products and services, you would do much better. For the most part, MLM is an unreliable business model that is hard to work and make money for a variety of reasons. In fact, a trivial bookkeeping error would more than likely derail any MLM juggernaut.

One of the primary reasons that multi level marketing is so popular is because it seems like a good way to make a lot of cash without putting in much effort. Sure in the beginning you need to recruit people and sell products. But, if you get the right people who know what they are doing, you can let them recruit people while you sit back and get paid. This plan has potential, right? If you really want to know the truth, you will have to work hard to set up your down line of people to the point that it becomes successful for you. You have to give them the proper guidance You have to choose people who will still stick around once they figure out how things really work. You have to come up with a good reason that will make your workers want to stay with you in the end. If a business is going to survive, it has to have workers. Do not think otherwise.

You will often hear, usually from the people who are trying to recruit you, that MLM is a risk-free business. This is because you will not be stuck with the product if you cannot sell it. Many times these types of programs have plenty of rules on how to do this. They have a limited window in which buy backs are allowed. Seldom will you receive the same sum of money that you paid for the product. At some point in everyone's life, they will try to make money on the Internet. When you're new and you're searching for ways to make this happen you will have to sort through an awful lot of MLM websites and offers. Watch out for these! Even though MLM companies look very inviting, you should try to find some other way to make money on the Internet as there are so many to choose from. Basically, don't waste your time with these companies. The reasons we've outlined in this article are just the tip of the iceberg. You will find many other valid reasons for staying away from these businesses.
