Best Tips to Increase Productivity
When a new year rolls around, we usually take time to reflect and look forward at the same time. It is wise to look at our failures as well as our accomplishments. Then, we need to take this information and get ready to make the changes needed to increase productivity and ensure success in all our efforts. Here are some great tips for you as you get ready for success:
1. Don't wait until the end of the year to assess, analyze and make course corrections. I've mentioned this before, but instead of waiting until December to make New Year's resolutions and planning, do it every 30 days and initiate the practice of "New Month's Eve.When the month is over, give yourself the gift of an hour or two to take a good look at the past 30 days -- then look eagerly to the new month. Get away from the computer, from email, from your phone...just take along a pen and a notebook and give yourself this monthly gift. The rewards will be great.
2. Look until you find an accountability who is perfect for you. Find someone who genuinely cares about you and your success. Look for someone who will be candid with you and always tell you the truth...gently, but firmly. It's important that this partner will not eat up your valuable time (and theirs, as well) chatting about non-essentials. Sometimes it's better to communicate via email than to use the telephone. Tell your partner four things you will accomplish at the start of the day. Instruct the partner to ask you if you completed those four things. It could be that this accountability relationship is reciprocal or it also could be a one-way scenario - either is fine as long as it works for both of you. An accountability partner will make a difference in your business racing forward and experiencing high productivity!
3. Find ways to build encouragement into your personal and business life. Be on the lookout for what motivates you, and make sure you participate. It could start with finding interesting and encouraging blogs to read. Subscribe to a daily meditation by email. Make it a habit to read a good book each month. To get the most from these activities, be sure they become a part of your daily and weekly routine, and you'll soon see they'll become second nature. So, there you have it! Three of my best tips to increase productivity and achieve greater success than you ever thought possible. Don't put it off - get started today!
