Paragliding in Nepal - 07 Days Sarangkot, an absolutely scenic village in Kaski district, boisterously perched on a mountainside ridge at an altitude of 1600 meters is where the paragliding flights are operated in Nepal. As you get wafted in the open air, under the canopy of a crystal clear blue sky, relish the flurry of superb vistas unfolding! While the luscious Annapurna Massif, Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Himchuli, Mt. Lamjung etc. stand formidably and tantalizing adjacent to you, the verdant fields, mesmerizing lakes, pretty rivers and splendid landscapes spread underneath. You will have the opportunity to capture some great stills. Prior to the flight, it is important that you take heed of the quick briefing from the pilot regarding the basic instructions on controlling the glider. As an alternative, the tandem flights are also operational.
Bungy Jumping in Nepal - 04 Days The seemingly fathomless gorge of Bhote Koshi, scarily coupled with its roaring waters beneath, offers the daring adventure penchants, the purest form of adrenaline. The New Zealand designed Bungy Jumping site in Nepal is as intimidating as a devil, yet as safe as a heaven! At about 3 hours drive from Kathmandu, this first and the only Bungy Jumping site in Nepal is perched at 160m above the wild Bhote Koshi river and is in absolute proximity with the Nepal-Tibet border. The site is run by some of the most experienced jump masters in the business who put safety and entertainment vis-à-vis. Some snippets on the site Route: About 3 hrs drive from Kathmandu along the Arniko Highway, some 12 kilometers short of the Tibetan border and the friendship bridge. The Gorge: 160 meters deep. Ironically, only someone seriously lunatic or with a suicidal twist would dare to jump off this remarkable height!!! The Bridge: Swiss designed, wide steel suspension bridge of 166m width embedded with 4x safety factor. This longest suspension bridge in Nepal has the loading factor of 250kgs per running meter. It means that the bridge holds 250 x 166 = 41,500kg or 4.5 tones. Over 6000 meters, the still wire is used. This bridge connects two sides of the great valley. Prior to the construction of the bridge, the local inhabitants used to walk for five hours to cross this river gorge. Precautions: Intake of any kind of intoxicants prior to the jump is strictly prohibited. You need to be weighed before you make a fall. The cords used on the fall differ in accordance to the weight of an individual. The green, red and black cords are used for the light, medium and heavy weights respectively. If you think you are one of those tough flesh and bones not ready to be bogged down by the fear factor, well, we would say you’ve just made a premature proclamation about your gallantry before experiencing the chill and thrill of Bungy Jumping in Nepal!!!
