• How to submit the claim form? You are recommended to contact BP claim office by dialing its toll-free number, i.e. 1-800-440-0858. The line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The personnel or officer on duty will provide you the detailed information on how to submit your claim. In order to be fast, you are advised to complete the online form and submit it directly after you have filled up the required fields.
• How can you be compensated? After receiving your claim, BP will take immediate action to process your claim. You will be contacted within 48 hours. BP's adjuster will investigate and evaluate your claim based on your situation. If the claims are large and complicated, the adjuster will need more time for investigation and documentation. Once your claim has been approved, BP officer will contact you to discuss the interim payments. Until today, BP has paid up to $5000 per month as interim payment for the victims. Individuals will receive different amount of compensation based on the losses they suffer.
In general, most of the victims will get the interim payments first. The remainder of the losses will be determined by BP later after thorough investigation is done.
