What to Wear This Summer, From Boat Shoes to a Stuhrling Emperor
Do you ever feel really well dressed and want to calculate how much money you're wearing, like how much your outfit is worth? Not to be a snob or anything, just to understand what went into putting this outfit together and making you look so good.
Start from the feet. Your socks are light brown, very soft and rise to right below the bulge of your calf. Those new boat shoes are snazzy, and although you were thinking about wearing your red soled Georgia clay shoes, the dark brown of the boat works well with the dark blue jeans you're wearing. Brown leather belt to match.
You like Diesel jeans best. They use fine denim, the cuts are stylish, and they break in really well, although when you wear them every day they can start to wear in the crotch and you might have to patch them, but you don't need to think about that yet - just switch them with your other pair. And don't wear anything every day, it puts exponential wear on your clothes and accessories.
Your shirt is a blue and white striped oxford and over it is a white linen coat, worn wrinkly because no one irons a linen coat to watch it wrinkle again; they're made to wrinkle. That's the style. It's very light and breathable which is nice on nights like this when there's a cool breeze but it's still in the upper seventies. Tonight, as always, you are wearing a tie to match the color of your eyes, blue, with red stripes. Overall a very patriotic outfit.
On your wrist is a new piece: a Sturhling Emperor that makes you feel rather like royalty. The other Suthrling watches were attractive but this one was the winner because of its visible skeleton. The best part is being able to watch the inner workings of the watch, the pendulums swinging back and forth, the tiny cogs whirling and grinding; it's all very futuristic and it pleases you immensely.
On your head is a brown fedora with a feather in it - a red feather, which accentuates your tie. It's acceptable to wear hats indoors, although you still removed it out of tradition's sake and replaced it when you arrived at the back patio.
And your underwear are designer boxer briefs, because they are so comfortable and aerating. In your pocket are your smartphone, your keys, and wallet. Overall you feel like a million bucks. Okay, maybe not that much...
