Los Angeles Attractions
Los Angeles, the land of movie stars, theme parks, beaches, and millionaires. Famous for its deep roots within the entertainment industry Los Angeles is home to the cities of Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Santa Monica, among many others. In L.A. there are many cultural and artistic attractions such as The Getty Center, Getty Villa, MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), and LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) museums. Southern California is also well known for its theme parks, Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Legoland, and Knott's Berry Farm are only a few of many attractions in the area. For instance in the city of Dana Point, located in Orange County (exactly in between Los Angeles County and San Diego County) you can find the St. Regis, a five star destination resort that has exceptional service. Not too far from there you will find the Ritz-Carlton, and many other great hotels. There are also plenty of educational attractions in the surrounding areas such as the Aquarium of the Pacific, the soon-to-be reopened Griffith Observatory, and the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. If you are after relaxation or catching some rays then the beach is the place to go. You could visit the Santa Monica Pier, or the famous Venice Beach. If you want to take that a little further then hop on your car and head down to Long Beach to take a helicopter ride with Catalina Island as its destination. Once the playground of the famous, Catalina is still a popular spot for tourists. If shopping is a top priority when visiting LA, then you have come to the right place from Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills to the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, there is a myriad of stores and good that can be purchased. Los Angeles is also famous for its nightlife. There are many dance clubs; some boast quite a number of A-List patrons on a daily basis. Among these are The Avalon, LAX, and The Viper.
