Car Chase in Downtown Los Angeles with Several Elusive PIT Maneuvers

A suspected burglary started a car chase near downtown Los Angeles. The pursuit started around noon in the Whittier area on freeways before heading on surface streets in the downtown area. There were three suspects in the vehicle including a female driver. Police attempted three PIT maneuvers before the suspect jumped the curb, blew out a tire, and got spun out by the police. The suspects then fled on foot. Police apprehended the female driver, but the two male suspects are on the loose as of this writing.

Commentary: This is the second epic chase this week and another worthy four star entertainment rating. Both surprisingly helmed by women. At around 30 minutes, the duration covers a bad syndicated sitcom. The suspects made good use of the various freeways in Los Angeles but drove very dangerously on the surface streets, weaving into oncoming traffic numerous times. The suspects nearly head on rear ended several cars and side swiped other cars. This car chase had some awesome PIT action. Police had the suspects boxed in and one cop even came out and had the driver at gun point. The suspects fled when the cars in front of them started moving. Everyone in Los Angeles knows, getting to where you need to go is priority number one, even when police cars are surrounding you. The police later did another PIT attempt. This time, the suspects jumped the curb, gave someone's lawn a nice tire tread pattern and sped away again. You have to give this girl some cred, she must be have some mad skills on Grand Theft Auto as well. One tire on the suspect's vehicle eventually gets a flat and the police are finally able to perform a successful PIT maneuver. Almost instantly after the PIT, you see two male suspects book it on foot. I'm surprised they weren't disoriented from the spin out. It was classic to see the decisions of the police. The cops initially took a few paces towards the male suspects before realizing they had too many donuts or In and Out burgers and realize the female was an easier capture. The female had a good initial burst but very quickly ran out of gas. Police quickly catch up to her and gave her a WWE Bad Ass Bill Gunn's fameasser. The third cop to the scene gives the female suspect a few jabs of the night stick as well which could easy get close to brutality. Seconds later, you see a police cruiser on smoke. What the hell happened there? Dropped a cigarette? Trashing the car so tax payers could be milked for a new vehicle? Lastly, it was funny to hear the news reporters always referring the suspected driver as a "He". Assuming.
