When you wan to use a sponge, make sure that you blend it all over your face well. You can use a moisturizer instead of a water and then mix. The traditional way of putting foundation through your fingers may also do some trick. This is great for liquid foundation. When you want to use powder foundation then you can mix it in a small amount of moisturizer. Wash your hands first before touching your face. Moreover, this is not applicable to people with oily skin because it will only worsen the situation and could irritate your skin more especially if your fingers are dirty. Cotton balls may be used for people with this kind of problem. It will not give you the same effect like that of a sponge and brush but it will give you the coverage that you need.
