Simple Tips on How to Apply Foundations

by Lam Bong

There are certain techniques on how to properly apply foundation unless of course you do not care about looking ghostly white and cakey. We do not want to see unnatural looking faces because instead of making women look beautiful, it can ruin their appearance. So make sure that you have the right products with you and you know how to apply them on your face. It is important that you look flawless and at the same time natural so that people would not know you have foundation n your skin. They will think that it is really your real skin.

One of the many tools that you can use is a brush. You can find a lot of foundation brushes in the market. There are small foundations, basic powder and kabuki brushes. The technique that you will need when you are using these brushes are the same and what makes them different from each other is the kind of coverage that you will be getting. Kabuki brush works well for fuller coverage. Use it using circular motions, putting one layer of foundation after another. And do not forget to put some on the neck as well to get an even color all throughout.

When you wan to use a sponge, make sure that you blend it all over your face well. You can use a moisturizer instead of a water and then mix. If you have problem areas like acne scars and dark spots, you can first dab the sponge with powder onto those areas you want to conceal. When applying powder and liquid foundation, only a small amount is needed. Do not put foundation too heavily otherwise people will notice that you have foundation on your face. Make sure that it does not stain your clothes making it more obvious so apply very carefully.

The traditional way of putting foundation through your fingers may also do some trick. This is great for liquid foundation. When you want to use powder foundation then you can mix it in a small amount of moisturizer. Wash your hands first before touching your face. Moreover, this is not applicable to people with oily skin because it will only worsen the situation and could irritate your skin more especially if your fingers are dirty. Cotton balls may be used for people with this kind of problem. It will not give you the same effect like that of a sponge and brush but it will give you the coverage that you need.
