The amount of people who want their own small business is growing by the day. A recent poll shows that more then 70% of all people want to turn their small business ideas into reality. However, most of them just make excuses why they can't get going.
Now, I assume you're in the group of 70%, but are you an excuse maker or a "get the thing going" kind of person? It's your choice who you want to be. Do you want a load full of excuses or a thriving small business?
If you're an excuse maker, it doesn't matter what you can come up with, it's nonsense. Why? And how can I know? Well there are so many people from all walks of life, with all kinds of obstacles or handicaps, that have successfully taken their small business ideas from the plan into reality.
Do you let your goals and dreams stay as just a dream, because it's uncomfortable to do the necessary changes from your daily routine? Let's face it, if it was easy and comfortable to turn business ideas into a thriving profitable small business. Just about every one would be a wealthy small business entrepreneur. It will take a lot of hard work and some attitude changing from your side. But the rewards will be wealthiness and freedom, is that worth some temporary sacrifices?
If we take a peak at your future. Let's say you stay at your current job. One day your retirement occur. What do your life look like? How big will your social security check be? Will the amount of money on it, be able to cover the lifestyle you desire? Will there be enough money to enjoy your hobbies together with your friends? What about your dreams of traveling?
There are so many people thinking about their future, when they realize their small business ideas. They grab the opportunity to direct their own life and future. They don't want to relay on the social security check. What's more, is that they can live their life and work with something they're passionate about. I'm not sure which one of these features is worth more, but the fact is that they come together.
To make your path into the small business world as smooth as possible, it's recommendable to start part time. It will give you the chance to test the water before you have to depend on your business. You educate yourself and become an entrepreneur, a side of your regular work. It's here the sacrifices we have talked about comes in. You might not have as much time as before to spend in front of the TV set. But to be able to gear up for the lifestyle you want, you have to do what it takes.
Keep in mind, the time, efforts, work and other resources you invest in yourself now, you will be able to reap the rewards in the future. That said, whatever you choose to invest your time and efforts into, make sure it's a genuine deal, don't waste your valuable resources at something that not work. Now, stop making excuses, let your small business ideas come true.
