God, Life, Love, Truth & Joy
God, life, love, truth and joy are interchangeable because they all represent the same thing. Most spirituality information explains the secret of this interconnectedness. Your spiritual growth ultimately leads you to this conclusion. The basic belief of separation skews everything that follows after it. I had an understanding of what I believed to be the life process, but the understanding I had was based on a foundational flaw in my most basic belief system. The belief that I was a separate being from all people, places and things, including God. Let me restate this last sentence and make a one-word substitution so we can reach clarity on what I am relaying here. Let us re-read this sentence and substitute the word “Life” for the word “God.” See if you feel any difference. The belief that I was a separate being from all other people, places and things, including Life. One more time: The belief that I was a separate being from all other people, places and things, including love. Once more for clarity: The belief that I was a separate being from all other people, places and things, including truth. Okay, one more: The belief that I was a separate being from all other people, places and things, including joy. God, life, love, truth and joy are all interchangeable and it can help to give us all a little clearer perspective on what we are talking about when we can freely substitute one for the other. Can you see some of the subtlety of what's going on here? When I was sleepwalking, and I believed myself to be separate from all other people, places and things, I could just as easily believe myself to be separate from God. That was not a hard stretch. In fact, it is quite easy to do when you are raised within most of the current major religious traditions on this planet today.
Only a God that is separate from you would have the authority and ability to judge you worthy of entrance into heaven. Somehow this belief in separation makes sense when you stack it up with everything most religions tell us about this entity they talk about called God (or whatever name is use for the source).
Even though most religions tell us that we are all one with God, they don't spend a lot of time relaying specific arguments about this oneness and how we should truly believe it. It is counter-productive to their overriding message, which is to adhere to the dogma of the religion under threat of penalty of damnation after you die. Okay, I get all that and even now, even after being awake for a long time and even after having a deep knowing that I am one with my source, I still have a slight twinge when I try to think of God as anything but this all-pervasive entity itself. Sure God is an all-inclusive entity but the “label” God triggers this image of the white bearded guy on the throne in heaven.
I now know deep in my beliefs and understandings that this is a false image, but over a human lifetime it is still a deeply ingrained image, and can be brought forth without too much trouble whenever the “label” God is invoked. But what about life or love or truth or joy? If you say that you are separate from all other people, places and things, including God, there is a certain ring that ties it all together. When you say that you are separate from all other people, places and things including Life then you have to sit up and take notice. Wait a minute. Okay, I am separate from all other people, places and things. There is certain validity to that, especially given the basic belief system that most of us grew up under, but then to say that I am separate from Life makes me want to give pause. I am not separate from Life. How could I be? I am living. How could I be separate from Life? What about love? Do I truly believe that I could ever be separate from love? I DON'T THINK SO! Okay, okay, sometimes love is not at the forefront of my feelings and I might be mad enough to spit nails but then bring a little baby child to me and put it in my arms and I can bring my love forth in an instant. Be gone ye madness.
This child has the true authentic power to reveal my innate love to me so that I can give this love to the bundle of joy that I cradle in my arms. This love is always there. I can bring it forth at any time. So can you. Go ahead and bring some forth now. Just think of somebody you love and let it flow. See, it's already in your heart, is it not? You can never be separate from love. Could we ever be separate from truth? What do you think? Is the truth something that is found and then is lost or is the truth something that is inherent to us and reveals itself when we request it? This truth is not something external to us that we find in a book or a television show or the bartender of your favorite pub or the religious leader of your favorite religion or even the words written before you right now. The truth is inside you. It reveals itself to you as a feeling. It lets you know when you are on course and it lets you know when you are heading for rocky shoals. It is that bedrock feeling that tells whether the words and ideas in this article are true or whether they are false. You are never separate from the truth. Nor can you be separate from joy. Joy is your natural state. You may have other emotional feelings in your day-to-day living but joy is the over riding natural emotion of the source of all of life because joy is the displaying of love. Since love is who you really are, then it is only right and natural that you experience joy as part of your birthright. We are on this earth, residing in this fantastic universe of relativity to experience joy. Hey, why not? What's the alternative? Experiencing sadness? Okay, you have experienced both joy and sadness. Which do you prefer? My personal favorite is joy. That big ol' smile lights up your face and you feel so good as you are in alignment with the vibrations of the flow of life. You can only do one thing. Experience joy. You can never be separate from joy. It is available to you at a moments notice. If you couldn't experience joy, life would hardly be worth living. If you couldn't experience truth, life would hardly be worth living. If you couldn't experience love, life would hardly be worth living. If you couldn't experience life, life would hardly be worth living. If you couldn't experience God, life would hardly be worth living. God, life, love, truth and joy are all interchangeable. You are never separate from any of these because if you were separate from one of these you would be separate from all of these. Is that possible? You decide.
