The Importance of Doctors Notes
How important are doctors notes? For many employees it can spell the difference between a fuming boss and an acceptable absence at work. It can very well spell the difference between having a good paying job and being unemployed.
Doctors notes are legal documents issued by your attending physician after you have been diagnosed of an illness that will most likely require you to absent yourself from work. These are official documents that are acceptable and required in most corporations especially if you need to absent yourself from work. Moreover, if your medical condition warrants certain work conditions and limitations, these can be included as well in the recommendations indicated in the doctors notes. For example your doctors notes can include certain limitations on the weight that you can carry at work. It can also indicate whether or not you may be allowed to stand for a certain period of time or do other strenuous physical activities. Doctors notes are also acceptable in court houses, should you find yourself having to say no to jury duty or skipping a required court appearance.
