When it comes to choosing your holiday, hotels can offer you luxury, with comfy beds, hot food and running water, whereas camping can be cheaper and more adventurous. However, a motorhome holiday can offer you the best of both worlds, here are five reasons why you might consider a motorhome for your next holiday.

Freedom

This is perhaps the most obvious factor of doing a motorhome holiday. With a motorhome you can go where you want when you want. You're not obligated to go on any 'organised' site seeing trips, nor do you have to make sure you're checked out of a hotel room by a specific time. Although you can choose to stay on a campsite, you could also find a beautiful stretch of coast with nobody for miles around, very tranquil!

Perfect for families

Family holidays can be anything other than peaceful. The kids want playgrounds, and ice cream, the teenagers want something 'cool' and the parents just want a relaxing week or two away from the office. Not an easy combination to juggle, especially when you throw Rover, the beloved family dog into the equation. With a motorhome, you're not necessarily tied to one location and a set time frame. This gives you to opportunity to make sure everyone's happy, even Rover.

Cost

Motorhomes can be very expensive, especially if you're buying a brand new state of the art model, but how often have you gone on a holiday and not used all the amenities on offer? You are paying for them after all; it's built into the price. Holidaying in a motorhome will also save you any travel agent fees - you organize your own holiday so you don't need to pay anyone to do it for you. Best of all, you can use it again and again. You can hop in it if you feel like a quick weekend break or use it for your main holiday year after year.

Privacy

You can't pick the perfect hotel room and place it down in the middle of the countryside; neither can you get double glazed tents. Whether you're in a tent or a five star hotel, you can't avoid hearing how much fun the couple in the next tent/room are having or listening to their children running around. A motorhome can be placed in the middle of nowhere. You can be the most social person in the world but sometimes you want nothing more than some peace and quite.

Having lived a lot of my life in Sussex I know how beautiful Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters are, but I also know there's so much more down there that doesn't make it into the guide book, everyone knows one beauty spot which is never crowded with tourists. With a motorhome you're free to explore these. If you find somewhere particularly breathtaking you're in no rush to move on, or, if you choose, you could wake up to a different view every morning.
