Skoda Rapid all set to launch on November 16

<p>Skoda Auto India, subsidiary of the Czech based Skoda Auto has made announcement about the launch date of much awaited C-segment sedan Skoda Rapid. Already the company has unveiled the new Skoda Rapid in the Car and Bike Show in NDTV. The new Skoda sedan was very well premiered by auto enthusiasts and it has been the most popular since its display. The new Skoda Rapid will replace the Skoda Octavia and will be the Skoda's new entry level sedan car model. It is based on popular premium sedan Volkswagen Vento and premium hatchback Skoda Fabia.</p>

<p>The company has used innovative features in the new Skoda Rapid. The new Skoda Rapid is on the base of Skoda's popular Vision D concept and was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011. The company used the heart of Vento in the new Rapid while front of the car is just like Skoda Fabia. The rear portion of the new Skoda Rapid is fully inspired by Vento. The new Skoda Rapid pictures look like an entry level luxury sedan. But, the new Skoda Rapid price is expected lie in competitive range.</p>

<p>The company may provide base model of the popular Skoda sedan at Rs. 6 lakh while the high-end variant would be available at Rs. 8 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Every Skoda Rapid Review available on the Internet has mentioned it a competitor of Toyota Etios, Maruti Swift Dzire, Chevrolet Aveo, Tata Manza, Fiat Linea, Hyundai Verna and Ford Fiesta. Because, the new Skoda Rapid features and specifications are highly sophisticated which are capable to make it decent in the segment.</p>

<p>The new Skoda Rapid will come powered a 1.6L, 1598cc petrol and diesel engines which are capable to generate massive power of 105 PS. Skoda Rapid mileage is expected decent in the segment because the company is using innovative technology in both the petrol and diesel mills. The petrol model may deliver mileage of over 15 kmpl while diesel will provide highest mileage of over 18 kmpl. The Czech auto major is offering a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox in both models while an automatic transmission version of will also be available in petrol run model.</p>

<p>The company is being produced at Volkswagen's manufacturing plant in Chakan near Pune, Maharashtra since October 10th, 2011. It will come equipped with special features of dual tone upholstery, a brightly illuminated information cluster, driver assist, centralized console, audio system, adjustable seats, headrests, armrests, tilt steering, spacious legroom, ABS, EBD, Airbags, central locking etc. Which are capable to prove it a decent C-segment sedan car model in the Indian domestic market.</p>
