What Are Your Pre Holiday Problems?

Don't forget your toothbrush…

by Sam Qam

If you are lucky, you will get the chance to go on holiday every year to some distant far off land with sun soaked beaches, cocktail rich bars and hours of unrelenting relaxation and pleasure. It feels almost like a right for some people that they deserve a holiday every year and that if they don't get one their entire year is not really complete.

However, holidays are always a stressful time all the way up until you finally hit the beach. There are just so many things to organise before you leave and the stress can be enough so that you feel you need a whole other holiday as a result. To help makes things go a bit more smoothly, here are a few stressful things that you can maybe try and be prepared for.

Bikini Bods

A big thing people worry about is how they will look when they hit the beach. It may be that you feel you need to go to the gym for 6 months leading up to your holiday or that you spend a week on the tanning beds so that you look suitably tanned enough before you go to the beach for a real tan. Vanity is a nasty thing and should be curbed wherever possible.

Insurance

Everyone should have holiday insurance and normally your travel agent or tour operator will include this as part of your deal. If you don't have any insurance or you are organising your holiday yourself, you will need to do a bit of research and choose the best one for you. The best way to do this is with a price comparison site. You can easily go online and see which one is offering the best deal at the moment.

Transport

While you have probably had your flights booked for a few months in advance, you will need to make sure you have all your other connections sorted too. This will include, if you live in Belfast for example, a taxi Belfast to Dublin, or just a regular cab Belfast to take you the airport. It is always best to get all your journeys set up way in advance so that you don't miss you flight because your car has broken down.

Vaccinations

Going to more exotic locations may mean that you need to get some injections. This can be highly stressful for some. It is imperative you get them though as a few seconds discomfort is worth it, if the alternative is dying from malaria!
