Should all colleges go online like Accredited Online Colleges?

Should all colleges go online like accredited online colleges, is the question which crops up in the mind of the people. Before getting the answer, one need to really analyze whether having only online colleges would be beneficial which means that all regular colleges provide the online option to the students. No doubt, that accredited online colleges are good and are progressing day by day but if all colleges go online then the regular colleges would be an option only as accredited online colleges are today. It is of course beneficial for a country to have accredited online colleges but making all colleges go online would not benefit in the long run, the reason being that all students cannot cope with online studies imparted by accredited online colleges as they need the practical experience to understand the theories better. Accredited online colleges should surely be an option for students who cannot attend regular classes. However, it should not be brought completely into the system of regular colleges which means all regular colleges should not provide such options because if they do then the accredited online colleges will replace the regular colleges completely in future which is not at all beneficial for the students even if they think it is. If all or most colleges go online then no student would be really interested to join a regular college because they will want to benefit while sitting at home even if they really do not require to do so. Accredited online colleges do have similar benefits as the regular colleges as they are accredited by an accrediting centre. The students here can apply for grants and financial aids to support their studies and they have the benefit of working at their own pace, decide things independently, and become self-evaluating. At the same time, these students lose out on the physical presence of the teachers as for some students it is difficult to study without the physical presence of the teacher. They also miss out on classroom interactions as they cannot communicate or exchange ideas with other students which make social interactions impossible. It is not good for the internal growth of the individual as one needs to explore the surrounding in order to gain knowledge, they even cannot participate in any debates and group projects and all these takes away the competitive spirit from them. The option of studying online is best for students, who really need it and not for students who can attend regular colleges. Thus, making all colleges go online would not be good for the future generation, maybe they would get all benefits at the comfort of their home but at the same time, they would lose out on a lot which is possible only in regular colleges. Online colleges should always be an option for further study but not the only means for education. Therefore, it is more advisable that both the colleges should exist without replacing each other in the future as that would be good for all.
