The Biggest Reasons You Should Avoid MLM

by Johnie Liontos

When you think about it, multi level marketing has an acceptable and unacceptable feature all rolled into one. At this point, you might know what this means. Basically, it is the pyramid structure that MLM operates on.

You get hired by someone to sell things, you hire others to sell things, they hire others and so on and so forth. Everyone involved on the down line from top to bottom of the pyramid gets part of the money that is made. But, the system rarely operates like that. That is why it is important to learn all of the cold truths about MLM before you get too involved in the system.

Easily the most obvious lie spread by MLM companies everywhere is that they are the newest, easiest way to create financial freedom. In reality, MLM isn't new at all, as it's been around for a very long time. MLM programs were online already back in the mid-90s, but was relegated to annoying friends and family before that. These days people are very aware of what MLM is and why they should avoid it. This is also the primary reason why MLM newbies have such a hard time finding new recruits to join their downlines.

One of the main reasons that people flock to multi level marketing is that it seems like way to make money without working hard at it. Obviously, you have to get new people and sell merchandise at first. But, if you get decent people, you can let them recruit others that will make you money. This plan has potential, right? The truth is that it takes a lot of work to build a solid down line of people to work for you. You need to train them. You have to know how to pick out the ones that will still work for you, even after they find out that multi level marketing is not what it seems. You have to come up with a good reason that will make your workers want to stay with you in the end. A business cannot be profitable if there is no work involved. Always remember this.

Have you noticed that the majority of MLM sites work hard to show you how you can sell their products to everyone you know? More importantly, how many times have you seen the same old spiel about how thrilled those people will be to immediately join up to the program under you? These sites tell you that your friends and loved ones will be happy to work for you to sell your products to the people they know. In reality, expecting the people you know to become your recruited sales force, so you can earn more commissions, is a great way to alienate those people. You might be lucky enough to sell one or two items and you may even recruit a couple of people, but the likelihood of you recruiting enough people who will continue selling those high-priced products so you can earn commissions from their work is extremely unrealistic.

You might think that MLM is a good plan until you get inside and start working it. This is the reason that it attracts people who are new to the internet. Do not fall into the trap. These cold truths are just the beginning of why MLM isn't worth your time. You can probably locate additional reasons too.
